Rep. Fitzgerald to offer inside look at Legislature

Join us for Manatee-Sarasota Sierra Club's July general meeting which will give you an opportunity to hear his report of what happened in Tallahassee last session. Several bills, such as the environmental bill he sponsored to encourage renewable energy production in Florida and an explanation of how feed-in tariffs would work, will be included.he membership will get his take on the upcoming legislative session and what Sierrans can do if offshore drilling is back on the table. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers. Fitzgerald is a lifelong public servant.An educator since his high school days tutoring dyslexic children in reading, Fitzgerald is a college professor at New College of Florida, where he has worked since 1994. In 2006, he was elected to represent State House District 6.
